Brian’s year in review

Hi, my name is Brian.

This year I made Minecraft Hour of Code Designer. We recently launched a project that is a collaboration between Code.org (where I work) and Microsoft / Mojang, creators of Minecraft. We made a coding tutorial where kids learn to code by programming Minecraft characters. 30 million students played our version last year, and this year’s iteration is rating even higher on our site’s “fun-o-meter”. Kids really light up when playing through this tutorial in school, last year Satya Nadella helped students play this tutorial and this year Justin Trudeau used it with students at an event!

My goal for 2017 is to build tools for kids to learn electronics, get back in to game development..
